On our second day, start your day with breakfast at the hotel then we will explore Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.
Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting Swayambhunath Stupa, a prominent Buddhist site perched atop a hill west of Kathmandu. After Swayambhunath, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, located in the heart of the city. You can savor traditional Nepali cuisine or try international dishes.
Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey Temple. It is one of Nepal's oldest and most significant religious sites, attracting both Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. At the heart of Swayambhunath is a large white dome-shaped stupa with eyes painted on all four sides. The stupa is surrounded by numerous smaller shrines, temples, and monastic complexes. Swayambhunath is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds great historical, cultural, and architectural significance. The square is surrounded by a collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and other historical buildings, reflecting the rich artistic and architectural traditions of the Newar people. Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is also known as Lalitpur Durbar Square which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Lalitpur. Some of the notable attractions within Patan Durbar Square include Krishna Mandir, Patan Museum, Golden Temple, Bhimsen Temple, and Sundari Chowk. Overnight at Hotel [B]
On Day Third of the Annapurna Poonhill Sunrise Trek, you'll fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then drive to Hile, where your trekking journey to Ulleri will begin. After breakfast in Kathmandu, you'll take a scenic flight to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city nestled in the foothills of the Annapurna Mountains. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you'll embark on a picturesque drive to Hile, a small village located along the Nayapul-Birethanti route. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes, passing by terraced fields, traditional villages, and lush green hills.
Once you reach Hile, you'll start your trekking journey toward Ulleri. The trail initially ascends through a forested path, offering glimpses of the surrounding mountains and verdant landscapes. You'll gradually climb uphill, passing through picturesque villages and enjoying the serene ambiance of the Annapurna region.
After a few hours of trekking, you'll reach Ulleri, a charming village nestled amidst the hills. Ulleri is known for its unique cultural heritage and warm hospitality. You'll spend the night in a teahouse in Ulleri, resting and rejuvenating for the days ahead.

On Day Four of the Annapurna Poonhill Sunrise Trek, you'll continue your trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani, a popular stop along the route known for its stunning views and comfortable accommodations.
After a wholesome breakfast in Ulleri, you'll begin your ascent toward Ghorepani. The trail winds through dense rhododendrons and oak forests, providing shade and a pleasant environment for your trek. As you ascend, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The highlight of the day is the famous Ulleri Steps, a challenging section of stone staircases that will test your stamina. The steps are well-maintained and are interspersed with scenic viewpoints, offering opportunities to rest and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
After several hours of trekking, you'll arrive at Ghorepani, a charming village situated at an elevation of approximately 2,850 meters (9,350 feet). Ghorepani is known for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri. Upon reaching Ghorepani, you'll check into a teahouse and have the rest of the day to relax and explore the village. You can take a short hike to the nearby viewpoint of Poon Hill to catch a preview of the spectacular sunrise that awaits you the next morning.

On the fifth day of the Annapurna Poonhill Sunrise Trek, you'll embark on an early morning hike to Poon Hill to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Afterwards, you'll continue your trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani.
You'll wake up before dawn and start hiking uphill to Poon Hill, the renowned viewpoint situated at an altitude of 3,210 meters (10,532 feet). The hike is a gradual ascent through rhododendron forests, and as you climb higher, you'll be surrounded by an atmosphere of tranquillity. Reaching Poon Hill before sunrise, you'll witness a magical spectacle as the sun begins to rise, casting its golden hues on the snow-capped peaks. The scene is truly awe-inspiring, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
After soaking in the sunrise view and capturing photographs, you'll descend back to Ghorepani. The trail from Ghorepani to Tadapani offers a mix of uphill and downhill sections, traversing through lush forests and picturesque landscapes. As you approach Tadapani, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). Tadapani itself is a beautiful village, nestled amid rhododendron forests. You'll check into a teahouse in Tadapani and have the remainder of the day to relax and enjoy the serene ambiance.

On the sixth day of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, you will continue your journey from Tadapani to Chhomrong. The trail takes you through enchanting forests, and charming villages, and offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. As you descend from Tadapani, you'll pass through lush rhododendrons and bamboo forests, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the region. Chhomrong, situated at an altitude of approximately 2,170 meters, is a picturesque village nestled in the lap of the Annapurna massif. It offers stunning views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, among other peaks. You'll spend the night in a comfortable tea house or lodge in Chhomrong, where you can relax and rejuvenate.
In the evening, take a stroll through the village, explore its narrow alleys, and engage with the locals to learn more about their unique culture and way of life. The breathtaking mountain scenery that surrounds Chhomrong creates a serene and awe-inspiring backdrop.

On the seventh day of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, you will continue your adventure from Chhomrong to Bamboo. The trail descends through beautiful landscapes, passing through lush forests and quaint villages along the way. As you leave Chhomrong, you'll descend a series of stone steps that lead you down to the Chhomrong Khola (river). Crossing a suspension bridge, you'll begin to ascend towards Sinuwa, a small settlement with a few tea houses and lodges.

On the eighth day of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, you will continue your trek from Bamboo to Deurali. The trail meanders through lush forests, gradually gaining altitude as you approach the higher reaches of the sanctuary. As you leave Bamboo, you'll trek through dense rhododendrons and bamboo forests, enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the surroundings. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to witness breathtaking waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides, adding to the magical atmosphere of the trek. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Deurali, situated at an elevation of approximately 3,230 meters. This is a notable milestone on the trek, as it is one of the last settlements before entering the Annapurna Sanctuary itself. The trail from Deurali gradually ascends through the stunning valley, leading you to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. As you approach MBC, you'll be greeted by awe-inspiring views of Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail), a sacred and unclimbed mountain revered by locals. This day marks the start of your return journey from the heart of the sanctuary. Leaving the Annapurna Base Camp behind, you'll retrace your steps along the trail that you ascended. The descent offers a different perspective, allowing you to appreciate the surrounding mountains and landscapes from a new angle. As you make your way back, you'll pass through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), where you can soak in the stunning views of the sacred Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain once again. The trail continues through the rugged terrain, bamboo forests, and occasional suspension bridges. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Bamboo, located at an altitude of approximately 2,310 meters. Leaving Bamboo, you'll descend through the lush forests, passing through charming villages and terraced fields. As you trek, you'll enjoy the serene beauty of the surroundings, with glimpses of the mountains and the sound of flowing rivers accompanying you along the way. The trail provides ample opportunities to interact with the local communities and gain insights into their way of life. After a few hours of hiking, you'll reach Jhinu Danda, located at an elevation of approximately 1,780 meters. On the twelfth day of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, you will continue your journey from Jhinu Danda to Mathque and then drive back to Pokhara. This day marks the final leg of your trekking adventure. Leaving Jhinu Danda, you'll continue your descent through scenic landscapes, passing through terraced fields and traditional villages. As you trek towards Mathque, you'll have the opportunity to interact with local villagers and gain insights into their way of life. The trail gradually leads you closer to the road ahead, where your journey on foot will conclude. Upon reaching Mathque, you'll bid farewell to the trekking trails and prepare for the drive back to Pokhara. From Mathque, you'll be transported to the lakeside city, where you can relax and celebrate the successful completion of your trek. Once in Pokhara, you'll have the rest of the day to unwind and indulge in the comforts of your hotel. Take a leisurely walk along the lakeside, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the lakeside restaurants, or simply bask in the breathtaking views of the Annapurna range reflected in the serene Phewa Lake.

On the thirteen days of your Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, you will conclude your adventure by flying from Pokhara back to Kathmandu. This marks the final day of your trekking experience in the Annapurna region. In the morning, you'll check out from your hotel in Pokhara and head to the Pokhara Airport for your domestic flight to Kathmandu. The flight offers stunning aerial views of the Himalayas, allowing you to reminisce about the incredible landscapes you explored during your trek. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel in the city. This allows you to relax, reflect on your trekking journey, and enjoy the comforts of Kathmandu. In the remaining time of the day, you can explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, visit local markets, and indulge in the rich cultural heritage of the city.

On the last day, it's time for your final departure from Kathmandu. The last day morning will be free and near the time of your flight. You will be at the airport within the time to board your flight for the onward trip.
