Nepal Visa

Nepal Visa
Immigration authorities under the Ministry of Immigration facilitate the entry of tourists into Nepal by issuing visas on arrival. The 'on arrival' visa process is very quick and easy. During peak tourist season, there may be lines. If you want to avoid these queues, you can consider applying for a visa at a Nepali diplomatic mission abroad before you arrive. It's up to you to decide.
If you receive a visa from a Nepali diplomatic mission, you must enter Nepal within six months from the date of visa issuance. The entire period of stay is counted from the day you enter Nepal.
The visa issued upon arrival when entering or exiting a country is a "tourist visa." There are multiple re-entry options. The "on arrival" tourist visa is the only entry visa to Nepal. Even if you are visiting Nepal for purposes other than tourism (sightseeing, tours, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and family), you will need to apply for a "tourist visa" to enter the country. However, you will need to submit the required documents to the Immigration Bureau and change your visa category depending on the purpose and length of your stay in Nepal.

Citizens of the following countries must apply for a visa at the nearest Nepalese government overseas mission (embassy/consulate) before arrival:
• Nigeria
• Ghana
• Zimbabwe
• Swaziland
• Cameroon
• Somalia
• Liberia
• Ethiopia
• Iraq
• Palestine
• Afghanistan
• Syria
• Refugees with a travel document

If you haven't purchased your visa before boarding your flight, follow the easy steps for a Tourist Visa on Arrival (TIA) as mentioned below:
Step 01:
• Fill out the "Arrival Card".
• Fill out the online tourist visa form (which can be completed on the official immigration website before arrival or at the kiosk upon arrival at the airport). Once you have filled out the information on the website, you will receive a receipt with a barcode. Please print this out and bring it with you when applying for your visa. It is valid for 15 days and then expires. In that case, you will need to refill it again.

Step 02:
• Pay to the bank as per visa requirements (15/30/90 days).
• Receive a receipt
• Although we accept a variety of payment methods (visa fee collection desk), we recommend that you bring some cash with you to be on the safe side.

On-Arrival Visa Fee at Entry Points:
• 15 Days – 30 USD
• 30 Days – 50 USD
• 90 Days – 125 USD

Step 03:
• Go to the immigration counter with the online form, payment receipt, and passport
• Submit your documents to the immigration officer for visa processing. He/she will issue the visa based on satisfaction.

Visa extension fee
• Tourist visa extensions cost $45 for a minimum of 15 days, with additional days costing $3 per day.
• If the delay is less than 150 days, an additional late penalty of $5 per day will apply.
