On our second day, start your day with breakfast at the hotel then we will explore Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.

Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting Swayambhunath Stupa, a prominent Buddhist site perched atop a hill west of Kathmandu. After Swayambhunath, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, located in the heart of the city. You can savor traditional Nepali cuisine or try international dishes.

Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey Temple. It is one of the oldest and most significant religious sites in Nepal, attracting both Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. At the heart of Swayambhunath is a large white dome-shaped stupa with eyes painted on all four sides. The stupa is surrounded by numerous smaller shrines, temples, and monastic complexes. Swayambhunath is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds great historical, cultural, and architectural significance. The square is surrounded by a collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and other historical buildings, reflecting the rich artistic and architectural traditions of the Newar people. Some of the notable structures within Kathmandu Durbar Square include Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar, Taleju Temple, and Kal Bhairav Temple which serves as a window into Nepal's rich history and cultural traditions.

Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is also known as Lalitpur Durbar Square which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Lalitpur. The square is renowned for its remarkable collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and statues that reflect Newar architectural and artistic traditions. Some of the notable attractions within Patan Durbar Square include Krishna Mandir, Patan Museum, Golden Temple, Bhimsen Temple, and Sundari Chowk. These are just a few examples of the many temples, palaces, and courtyards within Patan Durbar Square.

On Day 3 of the Trek, you will drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola, which is the starting point of the trek. The day begins with an early morning drive to Sotikhola. The drive takes you along the Prithvi Highway, passing through picturesque landscapes, terraced fields, and traditional villages. Enjoy the views of the rolling hills and the Trishuli River as you travel towards the starting point of the trek. After several hours of driving, you'll reach the village of Sotikhola, located at an altitude of around 700 meters. Sotikhola serves as the gateway to the Manaslu Circuit Trek, and this is where your trekking adventure officially begins. Upon arrival, you'll have some time to rest, freshen up, and prepare for the trek ahead. Take the opportunity to explore the village, interact with the locals, and experience the rural lifestyle of this region. On Day 4 of the Trek, you will trek from Soti Khola to Maccha Khola. Leaving Soti Khola behind, you'll begin your trek toward Maccha Khola. The trail starts with a gradual ascent, taking you through lush forests and terraced fields. As you trek, you'll pass through small settlements, encountering local villagers going about their daily activities. This offers an opportunity to witness their traditional way of life and interact with the friendly locals. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach the village of Maccha Khola, situated at an altitude of approximately 900 meters. Maccha Khola is a charming village with teahouses and lodges where you can find accommodation and enjoy a warm meal. On Day 5 of the Trek, you will trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat. Leaving Maccha Khola, you'll continue your trek along the Budhi Gandaki River towards Jagat. The trail will take you through diverse landscapes, charming villages, and scenic terrain. The trek begins with a gradual ascent, crossing the river multiple times over suspension bridges. You'll pass through small settlements and encounter local villagers going about their daily activities. As you progress, you'll notice the changing scenery, with terraced fields, rocky cliffs, and cascading waterfalls surrounding you. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach the village of Jagat, situated at an altitude of approximately 1,410 meters. On Day 9 of the Trek, you will have an acclimatization day in Samagaon and take a side trip to Pungyen Gompa. Since you have reached higher altitudes, it is crucial to allow your body to acclimatize. Samagaon serves as an ideal place for acclimatization due to its picturesque setting and proximity to higher elevations. You'll spend the day in Samagaon, exploring the village and taking in the stunning mountain views. You can visit the local monasteries, interact with the Sherpa community, and learn about their unique culture and traditions. Side Trip to Pungyen Gompa: As part of the acclimatization day, you'll embark on a side trip to Pungyen Gompa. Pungyen Gompa is a beautiful monastery situated at an altitude of approximately 4,000 meters. The trail to Pungyen Gompa offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Ganesh Himal. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach the village of Samdo, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,875 meters. Take leisurely walks, visit the local monastery, and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains. On Day 12 of the Trek, you will trek from Samdo to Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Base Camp (B.C.). Leaving Samdo, you'll continue your ascent toward Dharamsala/Larkya Base Camp. The trail gradually climbs, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trek takes you through rugged terrain and rocky landscapes as you approach higher altitudes. You'll pass by glacial streams and traverse moraines, witnessing the raw beauty of the Himalayas. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Dharamsala/Larkya Base Camp, situated at an altitude of approximately 4,460 meters. This will be your resting point before crossing the challenging Larkya La Pass the following day. Dharamsala/Larkya Base Camp offers basic accommodation facilities in teahouses or tents, depending on the season and availability. Enjoy a warm meal and rest in preparation for the next day's pass-crossing.

On Day 13 of the Trek, you will have an early start as you trek from Dharamsala/Larkya Base Camp to Bimthang via the challenging Larkya La Pass. You'll begin the day with an early start to ensure ample time for crossing the Larkya La Pass, which stands at an altitude of approximately 5,160 meters. As you approach the top of Larkya La Pass, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and other snow-capped peaks. Take a moment to appreciate the grandeur of the Himalayas before descending. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Bimthang, a picturesque village situated at an altitude of approximately 3,720 meters. Bimthang offers stunning views of Mt. Manaslu and other neighboring peaks. Take some time to rest and soak in the tranquillity of Bimthang. On Day 14 of the Trek, you will trek from Bimthang to Tilije. Leaving Bimthang behind, you'll continue your descent toward Tilije. The trek begins with a gradual descent through alpine meadows, crossing small streams and enjoying the surrounding mountain views. You'll pass through lush forests of rhododendron and pine, adding to the scenic beauty of the trail. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Tilije, a charming village situated at an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters. Tilije is known for its traditional stone houses and cultural heritage. On Day 15 of your Trek with Tilicho Lake, you plan to travel from Tilije to Chame. The distance from Tilije to Chame is approximately 19 kilometers (11.8 miles). The trek usually takes around 6-7 hours, depending on your pace and trail conditions. The trail from Tilije to Chame is part of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. It involves a mix of uphill and downhill sections, passing through forests, terraced fields, and small villages. The trail is generally well-defined but be prepared for some rocky and uneven terrain. Tilije is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters (7,545 feet), while Chame is located at around 2,670 meters (8,760 feet). This means you will be ascending in elevation during this trekking leg. The altitude gain is relatively moderate compared to higher sections of the trek. Chame offers tea houses and lodges where trekkers can find accommodation. These accommodations provide basic facilities such as rooms with beds, blankets, and simple meals. You can enjoy a comfortable stay in Chame after trekking from Tilije.

As you ascend further, the landscape transforms into a drier environment. You'll reach the village of Pisang, situated at an elevation of approximately 3,200 meters. Pisang offers breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak. After a rewarding day of trekking, settle into a teahouse in Pisang, enjoy a warm meal, and rest up for the next leg of your journey. On Day 17 of the trek, you will continue your journey from Pisang to the beautiful village of Manang. The trail takes you through diverse landscapes, from dense forests to wide-open valleys, as you gain altitude and approach the upper reaches of the Annapurna region. As you leave Pisang, you'll have the option to choose between the Upper Pisang route and the Lower Pisang route. The Upper Pisang route offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna range, while the Lower Pisang route takes you through the charming village of Humde, where you can visit the Barge Monastery and the unique Braga Monastery. Whichever route you choose, both paths eventually merge and lead you to the village of Manang. Manang is situated at an elevation of around 3,540 meters and is a significant cultural and trading hub in the region.

Upon reaching Manang, you'll have time to explore the village and immerse yourself in its rich cultural heritage. Visit the local monasteries, interact with the hospitable locals, and learn about their unique way of life.

After crossing the river, we venture along the southern bank, meandering through a serene coniferous forest en route to Khangsar village. As we progress, we'll eventually reach Siri Kharka, where a charming monastery graces the path. While the uphill terrain may test our stamina, the majestic presence of Gungang Himal and Mt. Chulu in the background serves as a constant source of inspiration, reminding us of the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounds us on this adventure in the Annapurna region.

On Day 19 of your trek, you will be trekking from Siri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp. Begin your day with a hearty breakfast in Siri Kharka. From Siri Kharka, the trail continues through alpine landscapes, with rocky terrain and sparse vegetation. The trail gradually gains altitude as you make your way toward Tilicho Base Camp. Throughout the trek, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including the majestic peaks of Annapurna III, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. After several hours of trekking, you will reach Tilicho Base Camp. Tilicho Base Camp is situated at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters (13,780 feet) and serves as the starting point for the final ascent to Tilicho Lake. Settle into a teahouse or lodge, rest, and acclimatize to the higher altitude. Once you've reached Tilicho Base Camp, you can take some time to explore the area. On Day 20 of your trek, you will be visiting Tilicho Lake from Tilicho Base Camp and then returning to Siri Kharka. Begin your day early in the morning from Tilicho Base Camp. Have a nutritious breakfast and pack essential items such as water, snacks, and appropriate clothing for the day's hike to Tilicho Lake. Leave Tilicho Base Camp and embark on a scenic hike to Tilicho Lake. The trail is rugged and challenging at times, involving a steep ascent. Take your time, pace yourself, and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains as you make your way to Tilicho Lake. After a few hours of hiking, you will arrive at Tilicho Lake, which is situated at an altitude of around 4,919 meters (16,138 feet). Take in the breathtaking beauty of the lake, surrounded by towering peaks and pristine landscapes. Spend some time at the lake, appreciating its serenity and capturing memorable photographs. After exploring Tilicho Lake, retrace your steps and hike back to Tilicho Base Camp. The descent will be relatively easier and faster than the ascent. Take breaks along the way to rest, rehydrate, and enjoy the views. Upon reaching Tilicho Base Camp, continue your descent to Siri Kharka. On Day 21 of your trek, you will be trekking from Siri Kharka to Yak Kharka. Begin your day with a nutritious breakfast in Siri Kharka. Ensure you have all the necessary supplies for the day's trek, including water, snacks, and appropriate clothing. From Siri Kharka, the trail continues through alpine landscapes, with rocky terrain and sparse vegetation. Enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as you ascend further into the mountains. Yak Kharka is a small settlement situated at an altitude of approximately 4,050 meters (13,287 feet). It is named after the yaks that graze in the area. Settle into a teahouse or lodge, relax, and rejuvenate for the next day's trek. Yak Kharka offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including the Annapurna range and other peaks. On Day 22 of the trek, you will leave Yak Kharka behind and make your way toward Thorang Phedi. This day involves ascending to higher altitudes and reaching the base camp for the Thorong La Pass, one of the highlights of the trek. The trail from Yak Kharka gradually ascends as you make your way toward Thorang Phedi. You'll continue along the Marsyangdi Valley, surrounded by towering peaks and stunning landscapes. The path may involve some steep sections and rocky terrain, requiring careful navigation. Thorong Phedi, situated at an elevation of approximately 4,450 meters, serves as the base camp for the challenging Thorong La Pass. It's a remote and scenic spot nestled in the mountains, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Upon reaching Thorong Phedi, take some time to rest and acclimatize to the higher altitude. The base camp provides basic accommodations and facilities, allowing you to recharge for the upcoming pass crossing.

On Day 23 of your Manaslu and Annapurna Trek with Tilicho Lake, you plan to travel from Thorang Phedi to Muktinath and then drive to Jomsom.  The distance from Thorang Phedi to Muktinath is approximately 16 kilometers (10 miles) if you take the direct trail. The trek usually takes around 8-9 hours, depending on your pace and trail conditions. The trail from Thorang Phedi to Muktinath is part of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. It involves ascending the Thorong La Pass (5,416 meters or 17,769 feet) and then descending to Muktinath. The trail can be challenging, especially during the ascent to the pass, which requires physical stamina and acclimatization.  Phedi is situated at an altitude of approximately 4,450 meters (14,600 feet), while Muktinath is located at around 3,800 meters (12,467 feet). Muktinath is a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is known for its temples and natural springs. Take some time to explore and visit the famous Muktinath Temple, which holds religious significance for many travelers.

After reaching Muktinath, you will take a jeep or local transportation for a drive to Jomsom. The road distance between Muktinath and Jomsom is approximately 23 kilometers (14.3 miles), and the drive usually takes around 1-2 hours, depending on road conditions. Jomsom is a popular town located in the Mustang region of Nepal. It is known for its scenic beauty and as a gateway to the Upper Mustang region. Jomsom has various amenities such as accommodations, restaurants, and shops, making it a convenient place to rest and replenish supplies.

On Day 24 of your journey, you plan to travel from Jomsom to Pokhara. To travel from Jomsom to Pokhara, the most common mode of transportation is by flight or road. Jomsom has a small airport, and you can take a domestic flight from Jomsom Airport to Pokhara Airport. The duration of the flight is typically around 20-25 minutes. The flight and journey from Jomsom to Pokhara offer scenic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, rivers, and picturesque landscapes. Pokhara is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning natural beauty. It is situated beside Phewa Lake and offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. Pokhara has a wide range of accommodations, restaurants, and activities to enjoy. Take some time to explore the city and relax after your trek.

The twenty-fifth day starts with moving back to Kathmandu. Kathmandu is 210 km from Pokhara and is 8 hour's drive approx. The duration of the drive will depend on traffic conditions, road conditions, and your starting point after reaching Kathmandu you can take a rest inside the hotel or can enjoy the nightlife of Kathmandu.

On the last day, it's time for your final departure from Kathmandu. The last day morning will be free and near the time of your flight. You will be at the airport within the time to board your flight for the onward trip.

Ø  You will need several permits, including the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit, the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), and the TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card. Your trekking agency can assist in obtaining these.

Ø  A good level of physical fitness is necessary for this trek due to the long trekking days, high altitudes, and varied terrain. Cardiovascular training and strength are recommended.

Ø  Essential items include warm clothing, a good pair of hiking boots, a rain jacket, a daypack, a sleeping bag suitable for cold weather, and a trekking pole.

Ø  Highlights include crossing the Larke Pass in the Manaslu region, exploring the Annapurna region, visiting Tilicho Lake, and enjoying panoramic mountain views.

Ø  While it's not mandatory, it's highly recommended to hire a local guide and porter, especially for your safety and to make the trek more manageable. They can assist with navigation, carrying your gear, and providing cultural insights.

Ø  Some customization is possible. You can extend your stay in specific regions, add side trips, or explore nearby attractions. Discuss these options with your trekking agency.

Ø  Altitude sickness is a concern, especially when crossing high passes. Proper acclimatization, hydration, and monitoring are crucial to minimize the risk.

Ø  Teahouses and lodges are available along the route, providing basic but comfortable accommodations and meals. Facilities may vary in some remote areas.
