On our second day, start your day with breakfast at the hotel then we will explore Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.
Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting Swayambhunath Stupa, a prominent Buddhist site perched atop a hill west of Kathmandu. After Swayambhunath, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, located in the heart of the city. You can savor traditional Nepali cuisine or try international dishes.
Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey Temple. It is one of the oldest and most significant religious sites in Nepal, attracting both Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. At the heart of Swayambhunath is a large white dome-shaped stupa with eyes painted on all four sides. The stupa is surrounded by numerous smaller shrines, temples, and monastic complexes. Swayambhunath is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds great historical, cultural, and architectural significance. The square is surrounded by a collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and other historical buildings, reflecting the rich artistic and architectural traditions of the Newar people. Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is also known as Lalitpur Durbar Square which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Lalitpur. The square is renowned for its remarkable collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and statues that reflect Newar architectural and artistic traditions. Some of the notable attractions within Patan Durbar Square include Krishna Mandir, Patan Museum, Golden Temple, Bhimsen Temple, and Sundari Chowk. On Day 3 of the Nar Phu Valley trek, you will drive from Kathmandu to Jagat. Leaving Kathmandu, you'll embark on a scenic drive towards Jagat, the starting point of the Nar Phu Valley trek. The drive takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal, offering glimpses of rural life, terraced fields, and distant mountain views. You'll drive along the Prithvi Highway, passing through picturesque towns and villages. The journey includes occasional winding roads, river crossings, and mountainous terrain, providing a thrilling and adventurous experience. After several hours of driving, you'll reach Jagat, a small village located at an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters. Jagat serves as the starting point for the Nar Phu Valley trek and is the gateway to this remote and less-explored region. Upon arrival in Jagat, you can relax, explore the village, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. On Day 4 of the Nar Phu Valley trek, you will trek from Jagat to Dharapani. Leaving Jagat, you'll begin your trek toward Dharapani. The trail takes you through beautiful landscapes, charming villages, and lush forests. As you trek, you'll follow the course of the Marsyangdi River, which adds to the scenic beauty of the journey. You'll cross suspension bridges, pass through terraced fields, and traverse rocky sections, enjoying the diverse terrain. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Dharapani, a village located at an altitude of approximately 1,960 meters. Dharapani is a bustling village and serves as a checkpoint for entering the Annapurna Conservation Area. On Day 5 of the Nar Phu Valley trek, you will trek from Dharapani to Koto. Leaving Dharapani, you'll continue your journey towards Koto. As you trek, you'll pass through dense forests of pine and rhododendrons, enjoying the natural beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings. The trail offers occasional glimpses of the towering peaks in the distance. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Koto, a small village located at an altitude of approximately 2,600 meters. Koto serves as the gateway to the restricted Nar Phu Valley and is the last village before entering this remote and less-explored region. Take some time to explore Koto, visit the local monastery, and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the village. On Day 11 of your trek, you will be heading from Nar village to Kang La Pass and then onward to Ngwal. Start early in the morning from Nar village: Wake up early, have a hearty breakfast, and prepare for the day's trek. Leave Nar village and start trekking towards Kang La Pass. The trail will take you through stunning landscapes, including picturesque valleys, rocky terrain, and beautiful mountain views. The ascent to the pass can be steep and challenging, so take it at a comfortable pace and stay hydrated. After a few hours of trekking downhill, you will arrive at Ngwal. Ngwal is a beautiful village situated at an altitude of around 3,660 meters (12,010 feet). It is known for its traditional Tibetan culture, friendly locals, and stunning views of the Annapurna range. Once you reach Ngwal, rest and relax. Enjoy a warm meal and take some time to explore the village. On Day 12 of your trek, you will be continuing your journey from Ngwal to Manang. After a good night's rest in Ngwal, start your trek towards Manang. Make sure to have a hearty breakfast and pack your essentials for the day. The trail from Ngwal to Manang offers mesmerizing views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain ranges. You will pass through lush green meadows, cross small streams, and witness the unique flora and fauna of the region. Take your time to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding you. On Day 13 of your trek, you will be trekking from Manang to Yak Kharka. After a good rest in Manang, begin your trek towards Yak Kharka. From Manang, the trail initially ascends gradually, taking you through picturesque landscapes. You'll pass through the village of Tenki Manang, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Marsyangdi Valley. As you continue trekking, the terrain will become more rugged and alpine. You'll traverse through rocky trails, cross small streams, and observe the change in vegetation as you gain altitude. After a few more hours of trekking, you will reach Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is a small settlement situated at an altitude of around 4,040 meters (13,255 feet). It is a popular resting point for trekkers heading towards Thorong La Pass. Take some time to rest and enjoy the scenic surroundings. Yak Kharka is an important acclimatization point on the trek. It's essential to hydrate well, take it easy, and listen to your body. You can explore the area around Yak Kharka, take short hikes, or simply relax and enjoy the mountain views. Settle into your teahouse or lodge for the night in Yak Kharka. The accommodations here are basic but provide a comfortable place to rest and recharge for the next day's trek.

On Day 14 of your trek, you will be trekking from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi. After a good night's rest in Yak Kharka, start your trek towards Thorong Phedi. Have a nutritious breakfast and pack your essentials for the day, including water, snacks, and appropriate clothing. The trail from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi takes you through high alpine landscapes with rugged terrain. As you ascend, you'll notice the vegetation becoming sparser, giving way to rocky hillsides and stunning mountain vistas. After a few more hours of trekking, you will reach Thorong Phedi. Thorong Phedi is a small settlement located at an altitude of around 4,450 meters (14,600 feet). It serves as a popular resting point for trekkers before crossing the Thorong La Pass. Spend the evening preparing for the challenging ascent of Thorong La Pass. Familiarize yourself with the route and any potential challenges you may encounter. Settle into your accommodation in Thorong Phedi for the night. The teahouses and lodges here offer basic facilities, but they provide a comfortable place to rest before the big day ahead.

On Day 15 of your trek, you will be embarking on a challenging and exciting journey from Thorong Phedi to Thorong La Pass and then descending to Muktinath. Begin your day early to give yourself ample time to complete the challenging crossing of Thorong La Pass. Have a hearty breakfast, pack your daypack with essentials, and ensure you have enough water and snacks for the trek. Leave Thorong Phedi and start the steep ascent towards Thorong La Pass. The trail can be strenuous, especially as you gain altitude. Take your time, maintain a steady pace, and listen to your body. Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed. From Thorong La Pass, begin the descent towards Muktinath. The trail initially descends steeply and can be rocky and challenging. As you descend, you'll witness a change in the landscape, with a transition from rugged terrain to more open spaces and rolling hills. Upon reaching Muktinath, take some time to rest and explore the holy town. Muktinath is a significant pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists and is home to the famous Muktinath Temple. On Day 16 of your trek, you will be trekking from Muktinath to Jomsom. After a restful night in Muktinath, begin your trek towards Jomsom. Have a good breakfast and ensure you have all the necessary supplies for the day. Start your trek by descending from Muktinath to the village of Kagbeni. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, including the Kali Gandaki River and the unique desert-like terrain of the Mustang region. Kagbeni is a charming village with traditional Tibetan-style houses and narrow winding streets. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach Jomsom, the headquarters of the Mustang district. Jomsom is a bustling town with better infrastructure and facilities compared to the smaller villages you've encountered during the trek. It serves as a major hub for trekkers and locals alike. On Day 17 of your trek, you will be taking a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Start your day in Jomsom with a leisurely breakfast. Take some time to enjoy the scenic surroundings, capture any last photographs, and soak in the atmosphere of this Himalayan town. After breakfast, make your way to Jomsom Airport. Jomsom Airport is a small, domestic airport serving flights to and from Pokhara. Board your flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. The flight offers stunning aerial views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Enjoy the scenic journey as you soar above the Himalayas and make your way towards Pokhara. Upon landing at Pokhara Airport, you will be welcomed by the serene beauty of the city. Pokhara is a popular tourist destination and is known for its stunning lakes, beautiful landscapes, and vibrant atmosphere. Take a deep breath, soak in the tranquillity, and get ready to explore Pokhara. Once you've settled in your accommodation, spend the rest of the day exploring Pokhara. Here some popular attractions we are visiting include Tal Barahi, David’s Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev, and Bindabasini Temple.
Tal Barahi: Tal Barahi Temple is also known as the Barahi Temple which is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, specifically the deity Barahi, and a boar-headed incarnation of Durga. The temple is situated on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake. To reach the temple, you can hire a boat from the lakeside area of Pokhara. It is a short boat ride to the island, and you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains during the journey.
David’s Fall: Davis Falls is also known as Devi's Fall which is a popular tourist attraction located in Pokhara, Nepal. It is a unique waterfall that flows into an underground tunnel, creating an impressive sight. Davis Falls is named after a Swiss national named David who tragically drowned in the waterfall's turbulent waters. It is also known as Devi's Fall, referring to the Hindu goddess Devi.
Gupteshwor Mahadev: Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a significant religious and tourist site located in Pokhara. It is situated near Davis Falls and is often visited in conjunction with the waterfall. Gupteshwor Mahadev is a limestone cave that holds great religious importance for Hindus. The cave is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism.
Bindabasini Temple: Bindabasini Temple is a popular religious site located in Pokhara. It is one of the oldest and most revered temples in the city, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. It is situated on a small hilltop in the old bazaar area of Pokhara. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, who is considered a fierce manifestation of the divine feminine energy. Devotees worship the deity as a symbol of power, protection, and fertility.

The eighteenth day starts with moving back to Kathmandu. Kathmandu is 210 km from Pokhara and is 8 hour's drive approx. The duration of the drive will depend on traffic conditions, road conditions, and your starting point after reaching Kathmandu you can take a rest inside the hotel or enjoy the nightlife of Kathmandu.

As your Nepalese adventure concludes, ensure you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight departure.
