Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Sightseeing at Pashupatinath and Boudhanath.

Pashupatinath Temple: The magnificent Pashupatinath Temple, a masterpiece of architecture, is situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Accessible from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River, this temple holds a significant place in Hindu culture. It is where the deceased are wrapped in cloth, placed on a bamboo stretcher, and transported to the cremation site, where the eldest son of the family performs the final rites.

Boudhanath Stupa: Boudhanath Stupa stands as one of Kathmandu's most imposing landmarks and is a central hub of Tibetan Buddhism. Rising from a massive three-tiered mandala-style platform to a height of 36 meters (118 feet), the stupa's base is adorned with 108 small images of the Dhyani Amitabha Buddha and features prayer wheels. Devotees circumambulate the stupa clockwise, spinning the prayer wheels, a practice believed to be equivalent to reciting mantras. Boudhanath is home to one of Nepal's largest spherical stupas and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara Domestic Airport for a 20-minute flight to Jomsom. Jomsom, located at an altitude of 2,743 meters (9,000 feet), is also known as Dzong-Sampa or New Fort. Once you arrive at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Spend some time exploring Jomsom.

Muktinath, located at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thong La Pass in the Mustang district, is a revered sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists.

For Hindus, this place is known as Mukti Kshetra, meaning 'place of salvation.' It is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the Vaishnava tradition in Nepal. Muktinath Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, or temples of Lord Vishnu worship, and one of the 51 Shakti Pitha Goddess sites. The temple houses a golden statue of Lord Vishnu as Shri Mukti Narayana. The temple complex also includes images of Bhoodevi (Earth Goddess Lakshmi), Goddesses Saraswati and Janaki (Sita), Garuda (the mount of Vishnu), Lava Kusa (sons of Lord Rama and Sita), and the Sapta Rishis (the seven sages). An elderly Buddhist monk and a Buddhist nun lead the worship at this unique temple that blends both Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

After breakfast, you will take a 20-minute flight to return to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be driven back to your hotel. On this day, you will visit Bindhabasini Temple, Phewa Lake, and Tal Barahi Temple, which is of utmost importance to Hindus in Pokhara.

Phewa Lake: Pokhara offers a variety of beautiful places to explore, including the enchanting Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. The two-story pagoda of the Barahi Temple is situated on a small island in Phewa Lake, surrounded by breathtaking views. This Hindu temple is dedicated to Goddess Ajima, represented in the form of a boar known as Barahi, who vanquishes her enemies with her sharp tusks.

Bindhabasini Temple is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara, perched atop a small hill about 25 minutes away from the lakeside. Legend has it that the deity was brought from Uttar Pradesh, India. Apart from the peace and tranquillity felt in this area, the temple premises offer a stunning view of the Himalayas on clear days.

Overnight at Hotel [B]

Depending on the flight schedule and weather conditions, you will take a 30-minute flight back to Kathmandu.

Arrived at Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. After a short break, your sightseeing adventure continues with visits to Patan Durbar Square and Swayambhunath.

Patan Durbar Square, located in the heart of Patan amidst the vibrant Patan Market Square, is a historical treasure trove, housing ancient palaces, pagoda temples, stone baths, and a wealth of Hindu and Buddhist statues, sculptures, and bronze artifacts. Within the palace complex stands the 16th-century stone temple of Lord Krishna, with a notable feature being the Royal Bath, also known as "Tushahity," showcasing exquisite stone and bronze sculptures.

Your journey proceeds to explore Swayambhunath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the world's oldest shrine, with a history spanning over 2,500 years. Perched atop a 3-kilometer hill on the western outskirts of Kathmandu, Swayambhunath holds profound significance as one of Nepal's most vital and sacred Buddhist temples. According to legend, when the Kathmandu Valley was a primordial lake over 2,000 years ago, a solitary lotus flower bloomed at its center. As Bodhisattva Manjushree cleaved the valley with his sword, the lotus magically transformed into a stupa. Hence, Swayambhunath is often referred to as the "self-arisen stupa." This sacred site offers sweeping panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley, and the iconic all-seeing eyes of Buddha adorn all four sides of the ancient structure, with a mystical third eye symbolizing profound wisdom.
