Kushe Aunsi
Kushe Aunsi, also recognized as Gokarna Aunsi, is a traditional Father's Day festival celebrated in Nepal to express love, gratitude, and respect for fathers and father figures. This festival occurs on the new moon day of the lunar month of Bhadra, which usually corresponds to August or September in the Gregorian calendar. Kushe Aunsi serves as an occasion for Nepali individuals to convey their appreciation and seek blessings from their fathers. Families come together on this day, with children and relatives visiting their fathers to spend quality time with them. It is customary for children to offer gifts and tokens of appreciation to their fathers. Special meals and feasts are prepared on this day, and families gather to savor delicious food while strengthening their bonds and enjoying one another's company.
