Jakar Tshechu
The Jakar Tshechu is a renowned religious festival that takes place in the town of Jakar, situated in Bhutan's Bumthang district. Bumthang, often referred to as the "heartland of Bhutan," holds great historical and spiritual significance. This annual festival, the Jakar Tshechu, is dedicated to Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, who is regarded as the second Buddha and played a pivotal role in spreading Buddhism in Bhutan.
