Pashupatinath Temple: Located on the sacred banks of the Bagmati River, the remarkable Pashupatinath Temple is a masterpiece of architectural beauty. Accessible from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River, this temple plays a vital role in Hindu rituals. It is a place where the departed are wrapped in cloth, placed on a bamboo stretcher, and transported to the cremation grounds, where the eldest son of the family conducts the final rites.

Boudhanath Stupa: As one of Kathmandu's iconic landmarks, Boudhanath Stupa stands as the heart of Tibetan Buddhism. Rising from an expansive three-tiered platform to a height of 36 meters, this stupa's base is adorned with 108 small statues of Tathagata Amitabha, encircled by prayer wheels. Devotees walk clockwise around the stupa, spinning the prayer wheels, which is believed to be equivalent to reciting mantras. Boudhanath is home to one of Nepal's largest spherical stupas and holds UNESCO World Heritage status.

Budhanilkantha: This sacred Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It houses a 5-meter (17-foot) long reclining statue of Vishnu in a 13-meter (43-foot) long water tank. Budhanilkantha holds immense significance in Hindu rituals, including thread ceremonies and weddings.

During the day, you will explore several remarkable sites in Pokhara:

Tal Barahi Temple: Also referred to as the Lake Temple, Tal Barahi Temple is a Hindu place of worship dedicated to Goddess Barahi. It is situated on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake, making it a sacred and culturally significant site in Pokhara. Access to the temple is by boat, representing the manifestation of Ajima, symbolizing the divine feminine force.

Bindebashini Temple: Bindebashini Temple, located in Ward No. 2, Miruwa, is the oldest temple in Pokhara, Nepal. It attracts many locals and visitors from all over Nepal and beyond. The primary deity of this temple is Goddess Bindebashini, believed to be an incarnation of Kali.

Devi’s Fall: Devi’s Fall is a captivating waterfall in Pokhara, Kaski District. The water plunges into a tunnel, creating a 500-foot-long passage that runs 100 feet below ground level. This waterfall has an interesting history; in 1961, a Swiss couple was swimming in the area, and the woman tragically drowned due to sudden overflow. Her body was found three days later in the Phusre River after extensive efforts. Initially named "David's Fall" by her father, it was later changed to Devi's Fall. In Nepali, it is known as Patale Chango, meaning "underworld water."

Gupteshwor Cave: Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is located in Pokhara-17, Chhorepatan, Kaski district, opposite Devi's Fall. The water from Devi's Fall flows through this cave. Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a major tourist attraction in Pokhara.
