Rama Navami

Rama Navami is an important Hindu festival observed to honor the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu. Lord Rama is highly revered in Hinduism for his virtuous qualities and commitment to dharma (righteousness). Rama Navami falls on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the lunar month of Chaitra, which typically falls in March or April on the Gregorian calendar. It is part of the Chaitra Navaratri, a nine-day Hindu festival that culminates with Rama Navami. According to Hindu mythology and the epic Ramayana, Lord Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya, an ancient city in the kingdom of Kosala. His birth is considered a divine event and is celebrated with great fervor.
