Paro Tshechu

Paro Tshechu is one of Bhutan's most renowned religious festivals, celebrated in the town of Paro within the Paro Valley. It's among the country's most significant and well-attended festivals. Paro Tshechu takes place annually over several days, usually in the spring, typically in March or April, based on the Bhutanese lunar calendar. The festival pays homage to Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan in the 8th century.
