Upon landing at Tribhuwan International Airport, complete the immigration and customs procedures. Then Head to your hotel and complete the check-in process. Then we will be going to explore Boudhanath and Pashupatinath.

Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath is one of the most significant Hindu temples in Nepal and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pashupatinath is one of the principal deities in Hinduism and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Bagmati River flowing beside Pashupatinath is considered holy, and the temple complex houses several cremation Ghats where Hindu funeral rites are performed. 

Boudhanath: Boudha is also known as Boudhanath. It is located about 11km from the center and northeastern outskirt of Kathmandu, its massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. It symbolizes the three-dimensional reminder of Buddha's path toward enlightenment. The base of the stupa symbolizes Earth, the Kumbha (white dome) symbolizes water, the spire symbolizes air and the top-most umbrella shape symbolizes void.

On our second day, start your day with breakfast at the hotel then we will explore Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.

Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting Swayambhunath Stupa, a prominent Buddhist site perched atop a hill west of Kathmandu. After Swayambhunath, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, located in the heart of the city. You can savor traditional Nepali cuisine or try international dishes.

Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey Temple. It is one of the oldest and most significant religious sites in Nepal, attracting both Buddhist pilgrims and tourists. At the heart of Swayambhunath is a large white dome-shaped stupa with eyes painted on all four sides. The stupa is surrounded by numerous smaller shrines, temples, and monastic complexes. Swayambhunath is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds great historical, cultural, and architectural significance. The square is surrounded by a collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and other historical buildings, reflecting the rich artistic and architectural traditions of the Newar people. Some of the notable structures within Kathmandu Durbar Square include Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar, Taleju Temple, and Kal Bhairav Temple which serves as a window into Nepal's rich history and cultural traditions.

Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is also known as Lalitpur Durbar Square which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the city of Lalitpur. The square is renowned for its remarkable collection of palaces, temples, courtyards, and statues that reflect Newar architectural and artistic traditions. Some of the notable attractions within Patan Durbar Square include Krishna Mandir, Patan Museum, Golden Temple, Bhimsen Temple, and Sundari Chowk. These are just a few examples of the many temples, palaces, and courtyards within Patan Durbar Square.

On the third day of the Langtang Village Trek, you will embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, which serves as the starting point for the trek. Syabrubesi is a small village located at an altitude of approximately 1,550 meters in the Langtang region of Nepal. The drive takes you through winding mountain roads, offering glimpses of terraced fields, rural settlements, and majestic landscapes. As you leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind, you will gradually ascend into the hills, passing through towns like Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche. The road journey presents ample opportunities to soak in the natural beauty of the Nepalese countryside, with lush green hills, roaring rivers, and distant snow-capped peaks. After a drive of approximately 6-8 hours, you will reach Syabrubesi. The village is situated on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River, surrounded by hills covered in dense vegetation. Upon arrival, you can relax, acclimatize, and prepare for the trek ahead. Syabrubesi offers basic accommodation options and a chance to interact with the locals, providing insights into their way of life and culture.

On the fourth day of the Langtang Village Trek, you will leave Syabrubesi behind and set off on foot to reach Lama Hotel, which is the next stop on your trekking itinerary. This leg of the journey takes you deeper into the Langtang Valley, offering a delightful mix of natural beauty and cultural encounters. The trail starts with a gradual ascent, taking you through lush forests of rhododendrons, bamboo, and pine trees. 

After several hours of trekking, you will arrive at Lama Hotel, located at an altitude of approximately 2,470 meters. Lama Hotel is a cozy settlement surrounded by dense forests and towering cliffs. It serves as a popular resting point for trekkers, offering basic tea houses and lodges for accommodation. Once at Lama Hotel, you can take a well-deserved rest, recharge, and savor a warm meal. The serene surroundings of the village provide a peaceful atmosphere to relax and soak in the beauty of nature.

On the fifth day of the Langtang Village Trek, you will continue your journey from Lama Hotel towards Mundu, with a visit to the picturesque Langtang Village along the way. This day promises spectacular mountain views, charming villages, and a deeper immersion into the cultural and natural wonders of the Langtang region. Leaving Lama Hotel behind, the trail gradually ascends through dense forests, occasionally opening up to reveal breathtaking vistas of the surrounding peaks. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach the enchanting Langtang Village, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,430 meters. Langtang Village is a traditional Tamang settlement that was severely affected by the devastating earthquake in 2015. However, it has been gradually rebuilt and still retains its cultural charm.

Continuing from Langtang Village, the trail ascends further, passing through meadows and yak pastures. Eventually, you will arrive at Mundu, which is located at an altitude of approximately 3,550 meters. Mundu offers stunning views of the Langtang Lirung and other surrounding peaks, creating a picturesque backdrop. Upon reaching Mundu, you can rest and rejuvenate at one of the tea houses or lodges, enjoying the serene mountain ambiance. The day's trek provides a delightful combination of natural beauty, cultural exploration, and an opportunity to witness the resilience of the local communities.

On the sixth day of the Langtang Village Trek, you will leave Mundu behind and make your way to Kyangjin Gompa, the ultimate destination of the trek. This leg of the journey takes you closer to the magnificent Langtang Lirung and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Leaving Mundu, the trail gradually ascends through alpine landscapes, with sparse vegetation and rocky terrain. As you trek higher, you may encounter yaks grazing in the meadows and might even spot the elusive Himalayan wildlife, such as the red panda or the musk deer. The highlight of the day is reaching Kyangjin Gompa, a sacred monastery situated at an altitude of approximately 3,870 meters. Kyangjin Gompa holds great religious and cultural significance for the local people. The monastery provides a tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, including the majestic Langtang Lirung. Upon arrival, you can explore the area, visit the monastery, and immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance. Kyangjin Gompa also offers stunning panoramic views of glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and the picturesque Langtang Valley.

On the seventh day of the Langtang Village Trek, you will take a break from continuous trekking to acclimatize to the higher altitude. This day is dedicated to exploring Tserko RI, a stunning viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the Langtang Himalayas. After breakfast in Kyangjin Gompa, you will begin your hike toward Tserko Ri. The trail ascends gradually, and although it may be challenging, the reward is well worth it. As you climb higher, the surrounding mountains reveal themselves in all their grandeur. Upon reaching the top of Tserko Ri, you will be greeted with breathtaking vistas of snow-capped peaks, including Langtang Lirung, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and many more. The expansive views of the Langtang Valley and the surrounding Himalayan range are truly awe-inspiring. Take your time to soak in the majestic scenery, capture photographs, and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you. It is a perfect opportunity to reflect on your journey so far and revel in the magnificence of the Himalayas. After enjoying the panoramic views, you will make your way back to Kyangjin Gompa.

Hiking: 7-8 hrs.

On the eighth day of the Langtang Village Trek, you will retrace your steps and begin your descent from Kyangjin Gompa back to Lama Hotel. This day marks the return journey from the high-altitude landscapes to the lower valleys, offering a different perspective of the Langtang region. Leaving Kyangjin Gompa, you will descend along the familiar trail, passing through the picturesque Langtang Valley. The descent provides an opportunity to appreciate the changing scenery and enjoy the views you may have missed on the way up. As you make your way back, you will pass through Langtang Village, which you visited earlier in the trek. 

After several hours of trekking, you will reach Lama Hotel, where you had stayed earlier in the trek. Lama Hotel provides a comfortable resting place amidst the tranquil surroundings, allowing you to unwind, relax, and reflect on the incredible journey you have undertaken.

On Day 09 of your trek, you will be hiking from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru. The trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru is a scenic and moderately challenging day. You'll continue your ascent through the beautiful Langtang Valley, immersing yourself in the natural surroundings and enjoying the mountain views. Leaving Lama Hotel behind, you'll trek through dense forests of rhododendrons and pine trees, following the trail alongside the Langtang River. The path will take you uphill and downhill, crossing several suspension bridges along the way. As you approach Thulo Syabru, the landscape changes, offering picturesque views of terraced fields and traditional houses. Thulo Syabru is a charming village located on a ridge, providing panoramic vistas of the Langtang range and the Ganesh Himal. Upon reaching Thulo Syabru, you can explore the village, interact with the friendly locals, and experience the traditional Tamang culture. Visit the local monastery and witness the daily rituals and practices. Thulo Syabru also offers comfortable teahouses and lodges for accommodation, where you can relax and recharge for the next day's trek. Enjoy a warm meal and a good night's rest, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of the mountains.

Hiking: 5-6 hrs.

On Day 10 of your trek, you will continue your journey from Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa. From Thulo Syabru, you'll start your trek with a gradual ascent through a dense forest, enjoying the cool shade provided by rhododendrons and pine trees. As you climb higher, you'll reach Dursagang, a viewpoint that provides panoramic views of the Langtang Valley, Ganesh Himal, and the Langtang range. Take a moment to rest and soak in the breathtaking scenery. After a few hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Shin Gompa, also known as Sing Gompa. Shin Gompa offers stunning views of the Langtang range, the Ganesh Himal, and the surrounding hills. The peaceful atmosphere and pristine surroundings make it an ideal place to relax, meditate, or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the mountains. You can find accommodation in teahouses or lodges in Shin Gompa, where you can rest, have a warm meal, and recharge for the next day's trek.

On Day 11 of your trek, you will continue your journey from Shin Gompa to the sacred alpine lake of Gosaikunda. Leaving Shin Gompa behind, you'll begin your ascent toward Gosaikunda. The trail gradually gains altitude as you climb through rhododendron and juniper forests, passing by yak pastures and small stone huts. As you climb higher, you'll come across several smaller lakes, each with its unique beauty.  Continuing along the trail, you'll eventually reach Gosaikunda, the most revered and famous among the lakes in the region. Gosaikunda is considered a sacred pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from Nepal and beyond, especially during the full moon of August for the Janai Purnima festival. Accommodation options in Gosaikunda are limited, and teahouses or basic lodges are available for overnight stays. As you reach Gosaikunda, you'll have a sense of accomplishment and the opportunity to witness the natural beauty and religious significance of this sacred site. Take time to reflect, appreciate the surroundings, and engage in the unique cultural and spiritual experiences Gosaikunda has to offer.

On Day 12 of your trek, you will continue your journey from Gosaikunda to Ghopte. Leaving Gosaikunda behind, you'll begin your descent from the sacred lake. The trail initially descends steeply, passing through rocky terrain and crossing moraines. As you descend, you'll come across additional small lakes and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy the serene beauty of the landscape and keep an eye out for wildlife, such as birds and mountain goats, along the way. As you make your way toward Ghopte, you'll pass through lush vegetation, including moss-covered forests and alpine meadows. The trail may be challenging at times, with steep ascents and descents. Ghopte, situated at an elevation of around 3,430 meters, is a small settlement that serves as a resting point for trekkers. The village offers basic accommodations and teahouses where you can relax, refuel, and spend the night.

On Day 13 of your trek, you will continue your journey from Ghopte to Melamchigaon. Leaving Ghopte behind, you'll begin your trek toward Melamchigaon. Melamchigaon, your destination for the day, is a picturesque village located at an altitude of around 2,550 meters. It is inhabited by the indigenous Sherpa community, known for their mountaineering skills and warm hospitality. Upon reaching Melamchigaon, you can explore the village, visit the local monastery, and immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the Sherpa community. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and savor the tranquil atmosphere of the Himalayan foothills. On Day 14 of your trek, you will continue your journey from Melamchigaon to Tarkeghyang. Leaving Melamchigaon behind, you'll set off on the trail toward Tarkeghyang. The day's trek will take you through picturesque landscapes, and traditional villages, and offer glimpses into the local culture and way of life. The trail begins with a gradual descent, followed by a climb through rhododendron forests and charming terraced fields. As you walk, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. As you approach Tarkeghyang, you'll notice its distinct Tibetan influence. Tarkeghyang is a predominantly Sherpa village, known for its well-preserved monasteries and traditional houses adorned with intricate woodcarvings. Take some time to explore the village and appreciate its cultural heritage. Tarkeghyang, situated at an elevation of around 2,740 meters, offers various teahouses and lodges for accommodation. Relax and rejuvenate in the cozy lodges, savor delicious local cuisine, and enjoy the hospitality of the Sherpa community.

On Day 15 of your trek, you will continue your journey from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang. Leaving Tarkeghyang, you'll begin your trek toward Sermathang. The trail will take you through picturesque landscapes, and charming villages, and offer glimpses into the local culture and traditions. The trek starts with a gradual ascent, as you make your way through terraced fields and forests. You'll pass through small settlements and encounter friendly locals going about their daily activities. Sermathang, your destination for the day, is a tranquil village situated at an altitude of approximately 2,610 meters. Upon reaching Sermathang, take some time to explore the village and its surroundings. Visit the local monastery, stroll through the narrow streets, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this Himalayan settlement. Sermathang provides teahouses and lodges for accommodation, where you can rest, enjoy warm meals, and spend the night. Engage in conversations with fellow trekkers and locals, sharing stories and experiences.

On Day 16 of your trek, you will trek from Sermathang to Melamchi Bazaar and then drive back to Kathmandu. From Sermathang, you'll start your trek towards Melamchi Bazaar. The trail will take you through charming villages, terraced fields, and scenic landscapes. As you descend, you'll pass through beautiful forests and cross small streams along the way. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and take in the fresh mountain air. Upon reaching Melamchi Bazaar, you'll have some time to explore the town. Melamchi Bazaar is a bustling market town situated at an altitude of approximately 1,550 meters. It serves as a hub for trade and commerce in the region. After exploring Melamchi Bazaar, you'll depart for Kathmandu by road. The drive will take you through scenic countryside and offer views of the hills and valleys. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you make your way back to the capital city. You'll pass through rural villages, and terraced fields, and possibly even catch a glimpse of the Trishuli River that flows alongside the road. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest, freshen up, and reflect on your incredible trekking journey in the Langtang region.

On the last day, it's time for your final departure from Kathmandu. The last day morning will be free and near the time of your flight. You will be at the airport within the time to board your flight for the onward trip.

Ø  The Langtang, Gosaikunda, and Helambu Trek is a trekking route that takes you through the Langtang Valley, the sacred Gosaikunda Lakes, and the picturesque Helambu region, offering diverse landscapes and cultures.

Ø  The best times for this trek are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is pleasant, and the mountain views are clear.

Ø  This trek can be moderately challenging, but it's suitable for trekkers of various experience levels, including beginners. Some prior trekking experience is beneficial.

Ø  While not mandatory, having a guide is recommended for safety, navigation, and cultural insights. Guides are familiar with the region and can enhance your experience.

Ø  You will need the Langtang National Park Entry Permit, the TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card, and a Gosaikunda Conservation Area Permit. Your trekking agency can assist with obtaining these permits.

Ø  A moderate level of physical fitness is sufficient, as the trek involves well-marked trails and comfortable accommodations. Regular walking and light exercise can be beneficial.

Ø  Essential items include warm clothing, a good pair of hiking boots, a rain jacket, a daypack, a sleeping bag suitable for cold weather, and a trekking pole.

Ø  Highlights include exploring the Langtang Valley, visiting the sacred Gosaikunda Lakes, experiencing the Tamang culture, and enjoying the serene landscapes of Helambu.

Ø  Some customization is possible. You can extend your stay in specific regions, add side trips, or explore nearby attractions. Discuss these options with your trekking agency.

Ø  While the altitudes are not extremely high, altitude sickness can still be a concern. Proper acclimatization and monitoring are important to minimize the risk.

Ø  Teahouses and lodges are available along the trail, providing basic but comfortable accommodation and meals. These are convenient for trekkers.

Ø  Yes, the Langtang region is predominantly inhabited by Tamang people, who have their own unique culture and traditions. Respect local customs and be mindful of religious sites, such as monasteries and shrines.
