Upon your arrival in Lhasa, whether by train or flight, your guide will be there to extend a warm welcome and assist you in transferring to your hotel. Your journey in Lhasa begins with a visit to the magnificent Potala Palace, the historical winter residence of the Dalai Lama. This grand architectural wonder dates back to the 7th Century, commissioned by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The Potala Palace boasts an incredible collection, including the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas, and it holds within its walls the sacred meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.

Following your exploration of the Potala Palace, your adventure continues with a visit to the revered Jokhang Temple. This sacred site was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century and is a testament to the rich history of Tibetan Buddhism. Inside the temple, you'll have the chance to witness the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, a truly spiritual experience. Your day begins with a visit to Dadong Village, a hidden gem nestled 25 kilometers southwest of Lhasa. Upon arrival, you'll explore the historic Nyimatang Monastery, which dates back to the 11th century. In the afternoon, your journey continues to the revered Sera Monastery, one of the 'great three' Gelug monasteries in Tibet. Your journey commences in the morning with a scenic drive from Lhasa to Shigatse. Along the way, you'll traverse the Gampala Pass, reaching an elevation of 4790 meters. From this vantage point, you'll catch your first glimpse of Yamdrok-Tso, a stunning lake situated at an altitude of 4400 meters. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and in the distance, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, which stands as the highest mountain near Lhasa, towering at 7191 meters.

Continuing your drive, you'll also have the opportunity to pass by and enjoy the Korola Glacier on the roadside. At Manak Dam Lake, you can use the traditional Tibetan custom of hanging prayer flags at Simila Mountain Pass. As you proceed on your journey, you'll arrive in Gyantse, historically known as Tibet's third-largest city, following Lhasa and Shigatse. In Gyantse, you'll have the chance to explore the renowned Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum, a unique multi-storied structure. Additionally, you'll be able to admire the panoramic views of Gyangtse Fortress in the distance.

After approximately one and a half hours of driving, you'll reach Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city. In Shigatse, you may have the opportunity to visit traditional Barley Mills and take in the scenic beauty of Barley Fields, particularly during the summer months. This day offers a captivating blend of natural beauty, cultural exploration, and historical sites as you make your way from Lhasa to Shigatse.

Your day begins with a visit to Tashilunpo Monastery, the residence of the Panchen Lama. After your exploration, you'll depart from Shigatse, ensuring you have obtained your Alien's Travel Permit, and drive to Lhatse, a small town where you can enjoy a satisfying lunch.

Following your meal, your journey will take you across the Tsola Pass at an elevation of 4600 meters, and the Gyatsola Pass, which reaches a height of 5248 meters. Shortly after crossing these mountain passes, you will enter the Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, and at the Gawula Pass, situated at 5198 meters, you will be treated to a magnificent panorama of the Himalayas, offering a mesmerizing view.

Continuing on your route, you'll drive along the New Zigzag road, eventually reaching the renowned Everest Base Camp, perched at an elevation of 5200 meters. At this point, you can get up close to gaze at the majestic peak of Mount Everest, a truly awe-inspiring experience. If time and weather conditions permit, you may also be able to witness the stunning sunset over the Golden Everest peaks from your lodging area. In the morning, at our lodging area, we have the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Everest Peak, provided that the weather conditions allow. As we continue our journey towards Saga, we are treated to panoramic views of the world's highest peak, Mt. Shishapangma, standing at an impressive 8012 meters. Along the way, we pass by the stunning Turquoise Lake Peiku, nestled at an elevation of 4590 meters. If luck is on our side, we may even have the chance to spot wild animals like wild donkeys and wild antelope, adding an exciting element of wildlife observation to our adventure.

On our journey towards Darchen, we are treated to magnificent vistas of the Saga Valley, nestled between the Gangdise Range and the Himalayan Range. This picturesque landscape is adorned with lush grasslands and charming local villages. Crossing the Mayomla Pass at 5112 meters, we are greeted with a spectacular panorama of Mt. Naimonanyi, soaring to an impressive 7694 meters. Our route takes us by the sacred Lake Manasarover, adding to the spiritual significance of our pilgrimage, and ultimately leads us to the southern base of Mt. Kailash, the most revered mountain in Tibet. This journey is a remarkable fusion of natural beauty and spiritual reverence.

In the morning, our journey continues as we board an eco-bus, departing from Darchen and heading to the picturesque Sarshung Valley. Here, we have the opportunity to meet with yaks and porters, although please note that the cost of hiring these animals and assistants is not included in the package. From Sarshung village, we embark on a trek of approximately 13 kilometers, following the path along the Lachu Valley and its winding rivers. This trail offers breathtaking views of both the western and northern faces of Mount Kailash. Our day concludes with a visit to the revered Drirapuk Monastery, marking another significant step in our spiritual pilgrimage.

Today's leg of the journey takes us over the challenging Dromala Pass, reaching an altitude of 5630 meters, making it the highest pass on the Kora. Along the route, we'll have the opportunity to rest at a teahouse, providing a welcome break. As we continue, we'll witness local Tibetans engaged in the act of prostration along the Kora path, a powerful display of devotion. The descent offers stunning views of the picturesque Kadoe Lake, enhancing our connection with the natural beauty of the region. To further enrich our experience, we may visit the Zutulpuk Monastery, adding a spiritual dimension to our journey around Mount Kailash.

On the third day of the Kora, the trek covers a distance of 7 kilometres, leading us to Zongto, where we have the option to board a bus for the journey back to Darchen. Throughout this portion of the Kora, you'll encounter piles of Mani Stones, adding to the spiritual and cultural richness of the experience. By around noon, we'll complete the trek for the day and retire to our lodging place, allowing for well-deserved rest and reflection on the incredible journey around Mount Kailash.

Our return journey from Shigatse to Lhasa takes us through the stunning Yalong Valley. Additionally, if time allows during the summer, we can visit a Water Mill where Tibetan Incense material is produced, offering insight into local traditions and craftsmanship.
