Drive through from Paro to Thimphu. Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan. Visit the Zangthopelri Lhakhang, the School of Thankha Painting, and the Tashi Nincha folk studio where the traditional folk and mask dances are taught and practised. In the afternoon, visit the Zelukha Nunnery, Tashi ChhoDzong, and Handicraft Emporium.

You can also explore Changkha Lhakhang, the Motithang mini Zoo to catch a glimpse of the national animal, the Takin, and enjoy a drive to a viewpoint that unveils a magnificent panorama of Thimphu valley.
