Leave Bodh Gaya early in the morning and travel to Varanasi. The distance between Bodh Gaya and Varanasi is approximately 240 kilometres, and it takes around 5-6 hours by road. Once you reach Varanasi, check into your hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, visit the ghats of Varanasi to witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony. It is a beautiful and spiritual experience where Hindu priests perform rituals with fire and lamps, accompanied by chanting and devotional music.

The distance between Varanasi and Lumbini is approximately 300 kilometres, and it takes around 7-8 hours by road. Cross the India-Nepal border at Sunauli and complete the necessary immigration procedures. Once you reach Lumbini, check into your hotel and relax.

Spend the day exploring Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the sacred Maya Devi Temple, which marks the exact spot where Buddha was born. Explore the beautiful Lumbini Gardens and the various monasteries and stupas built by different Buddhist countries. You can also visit the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE, which bears inscriptions about the birth of Buddha.
