Starting above the tree line at 3,700 meters, today's trek begins with a climb from camp to the army post. Following the river, the trail reveals stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The path navigates through muddy terrain and passes a mani wall before entering yak herding territory.
A warm lunch awaits at a yak herder’s camp, offering insight into their traditional lifestyle. Afterward, the trek continues past the yak settlements of Soe and Takethang. The final stretch crosses a plateau, ascends along a stream bed, and leads to Dangochang village, culminating at the breathtaking campsite of Jangothang at 4,040 meters. From here, panoramic vistas of Mount Jumolhari and Jichu Drake provide an unforgettable backdrop.
