Boudhanath: Next, you'll visit Boudhanath, one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. This massive stupa is a symbol of Tibetan Buddhism and a hub of religious activity, with pilgrims circumambulating the stupa while spinning prayer wheels.
Patan Durbar Square: Your tour will continue to Patan Durbar Square, a marvel of medieval architecture. Here, you can explore ancient palaces, temples, and courtyards that reflect the artistic and architectural brilliance of the Malla dynasty. After these activities, we will return to the hotel.
Overnight in the hotel.
After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to the domestic terminal of Tribhuwan International Airport for a scenic flight to Lukla. The flight takes approximately 45 minutes and offers stunning aerial views of the Himalayan mountains, including glimpses of Mount Everest (8,848 meters or 29,035 feet), the world's highest peak. Lukla, at an elevation of 2,845 meters (9,334 feet), serves as the main gateway to the Everest region. Upon landing in Lukla, you'll meet your dedicated trek support team, including guides, porters, and yaks. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach the village of Phakding, situated at an elevation of 2,656 meters (8,563 feet). Phakding is a charming village with comfortable local lodges where you will spend the night.
Overnight in Lodge.
Start your day with an early morning wake-up call in Phakding. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, and it's recommended to pack your belongings before breakfast so that the porters can begin their day as soon as they are ready. As you leave Phakding behind, the trail will take you across several high-suspension bridges that crisscross the Dudh Koshi River. Your trek will lead you to the village of Monjo, which marks the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. This park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is named "Sagarmatha" in Nepali, which means Mt. Everest. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you'll find a vibrant market, often busiest on Saturdays when it becomes a meeting place for traders from the lowlands and highlands. Despite its remote location, Namche offers a surprising array of amenities and comforts, including well-facilitated hotels, restaurants, and shops. You'll spend the night in one of the comfortable lodges or hotels in Namche Bazaar.
Overnight in lodge.
Namche Bazaar is nestled between two ridges and surrounded by the towering peaks of the Khumbu region. It offers a wide range of accommodations, tea houses, and souvenir shops, some of which may surprise you with their standards of comfort and amenities. Acclimatization is crucial for a safe and successful trek in the high-altitude Himalayas. Spending a rest day in Namche allows your body to adapt gradually to the increasing altitude. There are several optional activities you can consider for acclimatization. You can visit the Khunde Hospital, which was established by Sir Edmund Hillary, a legendary figure in the history of Everest expeditions. Take this day to relax, enjoy the local culture, and let your body adjust to the higher altitude.
Overnight in lodge.
After breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you'll begin your trek to Syangboche. It's a relatively short uphill walk that takes approximately 45 minutes. The trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. Syangboche is home to a small airport with an unpaved runway that is 400 meters long. This airport holds the distinction of being the highest point to reach Everest by aircraft. Upon your arrival in Syangboche, you will meet with the management staff and crew responsible for organizing the skydiving event. They will provide you with detailed briefings and orientation about the equipment, procedures, and routines that will be followed at the drop zone during the event. The orientation will be tailored to both solo and tandem jumpers, covering the specific requirements and safety protocols for each type of jump. After a day of orientation and preparation, you'll have the chance to relax in one of the prime hotels in Syangboche.
Overnight in the hotel.
The Director of Parachuting Operations will carefully plan the jump days, taking into account the weather conditions and safety considerations. Safety is of utmost importance, and the team will ensure that the weather window is suitable for skydiving. On the chosen jump days, you will undergo final preparations before your skydive. This includes getting geared up, conducting safety checks, and reviewing the jump procedures with your tandem instructor or jumpmaster. Your jump may also be documented by an aerial cameraman, capturing stunning footage and photos of your descent with the majestic Everest in the background. This is a great way to relive the experience and share it with others. As you exit the aircraft and freefall, you'll have unparalleled views of the Himalayan landscape, including Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. After the exhilarating freefall, your parachute will be deployed, and you'll enjoy a scenic canopy ride as you descend back to the ground. Once safely on the ground, you'll have a chance to celebrate your successful jump with your fellow skydivers and the Everest Skydive team. It's a moment of triumph and shared joy. After all these activities we will return to the hotel.
Overnight in the hotel.
You'll start the day with a helicopter transfer from Syangboche to Lukla. The scenic helicopter ride provides you with one last opportunity to soak in the stunning mountain landscapes of the Everest region from the air. Upon reaching Lukla, you will board a domestic flight that will take you back to Kathmandu. This flight retraces the route you took to the Everest region, offering more breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you'll have the rest of the day free for your activities. Depending on your interests, you may want to visit some of Kathmandu's cultural and historical sites, such as Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), or the bustling streets of Thamel.
In the evening, you can celebrate the successful completion of your skydiving adventure with your fellow skydivers or take some quiet time to reflect on the unique and awe-inspiring moments you've experienced in the Himalayas. After exploring we will return to the hotel.
