Upon landing at Tribhuwan International Airport, complete the immigration and customs procedures. A representative and driver from Journey DMC will meet you at the airport and escort you to the Hotel.

Following a hearty breakfast at our hotel, you have the option to explore the nearby areas, perhaps doing some last-minute shopping for any adventure essentials you might need on your upcoming journey.

In the afternoon, we have a scheduled meeting with our experienced trekking guide and get acquainted with fellow participants who will share this adventure with you. During this session, you'll receive comprehensive information about the nature of the expedition, details about the necessary equipment, and an introduction to the composition of your trekking team.

After the briefing, we'll return to our hotel for a peaceful and restful night's sleep, preparing ourselves for the exciting and challenging adventure that awaits us in the coming days.

Overnight at Hotel. [B/L/D]

On the third day of the Everest View Trek, you will start by taking a thrilling 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight itself is an adventure, as you soar over picturesque landscapes and get a glimpse of the majestic Himalayas. Upon landing in Lukla, you will begin your trek towards Phakding. The trail initially descends through rhododendron and pine forests, following the Dudh Koshi River. The trek to Phakding usually takes around 3 to 4 hours, covering a distance of approximately 9 kilometres. Phakding is situated at an altitude of 2,651 meters and offers a comfortable resting place for trekkers. Here, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere and stunning mountain views, preparing yourself for the days ahead.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

On the fourth day of the Everest View Trek, you will continue your trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, a vibrant and bustling town located at an altitude of approximately 3,440 meters. This day involves a moderate but rewarding hike through the beautiful landscapes of the Khumbu region. The trail from Phakding to Namche Bazaar follows the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges along the way. As you trek, you will be surrounded by lush green forests, with occasional glimpses of the towering peaks in the distance. The trail gradually ascends, and you may experience some uphill sections that challenge your stamina. However, the effort is well worth it as you enter the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity and stunning mountain vistas. After several hours of trekking, you will reach Namche Bazaar, the commercial and cultural hub of the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town filled with shops, cafes, lodges, and trekking gear stores. It is an ideal place to acclimatize, as you will spend two nights here to adjust to the altitude.

On the fifth day of the Everest View Trek, you will take a well-deserved acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. Acclimatization is crucial to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude and reduce the risk of altitude sickness. You can explore Namche Bazaar and its surroundings as the town offers various attractions and activities to make your acclimatization day enjoyable and fulfilling.

You can start by visiting the Sherpa Museum, which provides insights into the local Sherpa culture, their mountaineering history, and the flora and fauna of the Everest region. It's a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of the region and its people. You may also choose to hike to the nearby villages of Khumjung or Khunde. These villages provide a glimpse into the traditional Sherpa way of life and offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. In Khumjung, you can visit the famous Khumjung School, established by Sir Edmund Hillary, which supports the education of Sherpa children. Another option is to hike up to the Everest View Hotel, which is renowned for its panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other Himalayan peaks. It's a perfect spot to capture breathtaking photos and soak in the majestic scenery.

Throughout the day, make sure to hydrate well and take it easy to allow your body to acclimatize properly. It's also a good opportunity to rest and relax before continuing the trek.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

On the sixth day of the Everest View Trek, you will trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche. This day involves a scenic hike through beautiful landscapes, offering stunning views of the Himalayan peaks and an opportunity to visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery. You will cross suspension bridges and ascend gradually, enjoying the panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other surrounding peaks. The trail takes you through rhododendron forests, small Sherpa villages, and open meadows, creating a diverse and captivating trekking experience.

After several hours of trekking, you will reach Tengboche, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,867 meters. Tengboche is home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most significant monasteries in the Khumbu region. The Tengboche Monastery holds great spiritual and cultural importance for the Sherpa community. It provides a serene setting, surrounded by majestic mountains. From Tengboche, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other prominent peaks. The panoramic vistas create a magnificent backdrop for photography and a sense of awe-inspiring beauty. At the end of the day, you will find comfortable accommodation in Tengboche, allowing you to rest and reflect on the day's trekking experiences.

On the seventh day of the Everest View Trek, you will leave Tengboche and make your way to Dingboche. This day involves a scenic trek through the picturesque landscapes of the Everest region, with gradual ascents and stunning mountain views. Leaving Tengboche, the trail descends through lush forests and crosses the Imja Khola (river). The trail to Dingboche offers breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other majestic Himalayan peaks. The landscape transitions from forests to alpine meadows, adding to the beauty of the journey. Dingboche, located at an altitude of around 4,410 meters, is a charming Sherpa village nestled in the Khumbu Valley. Upon reaching Dingboche, you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain vistas, relax at one of the tea houses or lodges, and explore the village. Dingboche is known for its terraced fields, where locals grow barley, potatoes, and buckwheat.

Starting from Duglha, the trail ascends to Chupki Lhara, adorned with memorials to notable climbers. The journey offers breathtaking views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and the Mahalangur Himal range. Continuing through the Khumbu Glacier moraine, trekkers are treated to the majestic scenery of the surrounding peaks. Finally, the trail leads to Lobuche, providing adventurers with a memorable experience of the high-altitude landscapes and a glimpse into the rich mountaineering history of the region.

The journey to Everest Base Camp unfolds as the trail traverses the once-expansive Gorak Shep Lake. Navigating through rocky terrain, moraines, and streams, trekkers encounter the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. The path demands careful attention, led by the experienced Sherpa guides. The high-altitude trek poses challenges due to thin air. As the landscape transforms, the vibrant tents of mountaineers punctuate the grey surroundings at Everest Base Camp. The majestic peaks of Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori create a stunning backdrop. After soaking in the awe-inspiring scenery, the return to Gorak Shep promises a well-deserved night's rest.

Embarking on an early morning trek to Kala Patthar, we seek the mesmerizing spectacle of the first sunlight gracing the slopes of Mt. Everest. The journey commences in the dark, and as we ascend, the temperature fluctuates, with the possibility of encountering chilly winds. The trail unfolds familiar peaks—Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Everest, and Nuptse—towering in the vicinity. After a rigorous climb, we reach the summit of Kala Patthar, offering a close-up view of the majestic Mt. Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. The breathtaking vista captivates our senses before descending to Dzongla for a restful night.

Ascending to higher altitudes, the beauty of Cho La Lake unfolds, accompanied by the commanding presence of Ama Dablam to the south and the soaring Cholatse to the west. The ascent becomes challenging, navigating steep inclines strewn with boulders, some requiring scrambling. The final stretch to Cho La presents a tricky path, curving around crevasses. At the pass's summit, adorned with prayer flags and cairns, we turn right, embarking on a slightly steep two-hour journey leading to Nirekha Base Camp. Here, surrounded by majestic peaks in every direction, we revel in the breathtaking mountain vistas.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

Commencing our pre-climb training post-breakfast, our experienced guides take charge, imparting essential skills in peak climbing techniques and the effective utilization of climbing gear like ice axes, crampons, climbing boots, harnesses, ascenders, and more. The comprehensive training encompasses knot-making proficiency and mastering the use of ropes for ascending and descending. The remainder of the day is dedicated to rest and recuperation, preparing us physically and mentally for the challenging climb awaiting us the following day.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

Embarking on our ultimate adventure, today marks the summiting of Nirekha Peak. Rising at midnight for a nourishing breakfast, we commence our trek at 1:00 am. The journey starts on a flat, snow-covered trail, transitioning to a steep ascent towards high camp. Nirekha Peak poses technical challenges, featuring a gradual ascent of approximately 20 degrees and a very steep climb along a narrow ridge, utilizing both main and fixed ropes. Negotiating a few crevasses, we reach the summit, offering breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Tawache, Cholatse, Pumori, Changri, and more. Safely descending after a successful summit, we return to Base Camp.

Overnight in Camping [B/L/D]

This is a contingency day reserved for any unforeseen events or unfavourable weather conditions that might hinder our planned summit of Nirekha Peak. If the ascent is not achievable on the scheduled day, this additional day provides flexibility to make a successful summit bid.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

From Nirekha Base Camp, we descend to its base camp and proceed towards the Gokyo village. En route, we are treated to breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayan peaks in all directions. Although the descent is long, the trail to Thangnak is not particularly challenging. As we descend, we approach the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in Nepal. After crossing the glacier, we reach the other side and come across the second Gokyo Lake, part of a series of six lakes. Nearby is the third lake, and on the shores of this lake lies the Gokyo Village, where we spend the night.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

From Gokyo, our descent follows the main trail alongside the Ngozumpa Glacier. We pass two additional lakes before reaching Phangaa, a location that experienced a significant avalanche in 1995, resulting in the tragic loss of forty lives. Continuing our descent, we pass a chorten and proceed until we reach Machermo.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

Starting our trek to Namche Bazaar after breakfast, we traverse several villages including Luza and Dhole. The trail runs alongside the Dudh Koshi Nadi, and as we pass Mong, we descend on stone steps, accompanied by the enchanting Mani Walls. Continuing our journey, we go through Kyangjuma village before finally arriving at Namche Bazaar, where we will spend the night.

Overnight in Simple Lodge [B/L/D]

Descending steeply, we navigate the rocky terrain cautiously, as our legs adjust to the downhill trek. Crossing the suspension bridges over the swift Dudh Koshi and its tributaries, the trail gradually becomes more level and natural. Upon reaching Lukla, we take the opportunity to stretch our sore legs and reflect on the memorable experiences of the past few days.

Following your challenging mountain expedition, you'll catch an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arriving in the capital city, you can finally enjoy some well-deserved rest in the comfort of your hotel room. This rest is much-needed after the physical and mental exertion of your journey, providing you with the opportunity to rejuvenate and reflect on the remarkable experiences you've had in the mountains.

After an early morning breakfast, your journey to Nepal comes to an end. You will be transferred to the Tribhuwan International Airport for your further journey.
